My trip to fictional Lanford and the ROSEANNE filming locations!

Yesterday was a fun day.  Not only was it my birthday, but my girlfriend agreed to accompany me on a three-hour road trip to southern Indiana to check out some of the filming locations of ROSEANNE.  Let me just say Evansville, Indiana is Lanford, Illinois.

Also, I'd just like to add, with simple Google searches, all the locales were relatively easy to find -- no back-roads or DELIVERANCE-style expeditions needed.

Okay, so let's get this ball rolling, shall we.

We'll start off with the infamous Third & Delaware street sign.

This is how it appeared in 1989...

And this is how it looks in 2015...

As you can see, the sign is new and they've swapped positions.  But, this is the same intersection and this is the original location.  Take notice of the tree in the background.  That same tree is visible behind the screenshot from the show.

Now let's take a look at Lanford's favorite watering hole, the Lobo!  This is how it appeared in the show...

And this is how it appears in 2015...

Please excuse the blurriness of the second photo, it was a drive-by attempt.  I now realize I should've parked and got a better screenshot-matching attempt.  However, you will notice in the first photo that the same wooden light pole still exists.  So that's cool.  Also, it is now a pizzeria called Talk of the Town.  We would've eaten lunch here, but I wasn't entirely sure if kids were allowed in.  So we settled for another pizza joint (to be featured in a later review).

Next up, the hard-to-miss church featured in the show.  This is how it appeared on the show...

It's kind of hard to see, but you can see the twin peaks of the church in the distance.  It was difficult for me to get that shot, so I chose a straight-forward photo instead.

And this is how it appears in 2015...

I'm sure there is a straight-ahead shot of this church somewhere in the series, but in all honesty, I didn't feel like browsing all nine seasons to find it.  If one of you readers has that screenshot, feel free to send it my way (I'll give you credit!).

And for the cream of the crop, the Conner house!

This is how it appeared in 1989 on the show...

And this is the house as it sits in 2015...

As you can see, not much as changed, with the exception of a new front door.  Again, I couldn't get a perfect shot because that would have required me to go up the driveway across the street.  Out of respect for the resident's privacy, I stayed in my vehicle.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this trip to Lanford in 2015.  Now I got to run, I have to meet Dan at the Lobo for some drinks!

Thanks for reading!  Shares appreciated!
